To clarify - they reach out to us for renewal when our credit card expired previously when our dog was under 10 years old, this stopped when our credit card expired and our dog was right at that mark.

We got VPI Insurance as a long term insurance investment for our dog when he was a puppy.

Each year VPI made it a point to call, mail, and email us when our policy was up for renewal.

This all stopped when our dog was around 10 years old. Our credit card had expired and they made no attempts to reach us. 2 years later, we found our claims were being rejected and noticed auto-pay had stopped.

This seems like a pretty big coeincidence considering that they stopped trying to contact us right at the age our dog was not able to get a new policy because of his age. We had been paying premiums for 9+ years expecting to use it more as our dog got older. If this has happened to others please speak up - if this is happening to others it may be illegal but most do not speak up.
